NEWS FLASH Kylie Ritter and I have helped Janet campaign Solykke Bikini Chocolatini (Marbella) who, in just 2 months of having been shown in Queensland, and much to our delight has just become the first Spanish water dog in Queensland to be officially titled as Australian Champion. I have bred and shown Dogs since 1994. I have been given the opportunity to own and compaign my first Spanish Water Dog -Solykke Toledo Real- from Janet Cameron who imported a male and female from Zorrazo kennels in Croatia in 2019, after having the pleasure of first seeing the breed in the World Dog Show in Milan,Italy in 2015. Kylie Ritter and I are also helping Janet to compaign Solykke Bikini Chocolatini. As we see it today, the breed is described as athletic, focused, natural and rustic. The history and working aspect of the Spanish Water Dog should be taken into account, particularly in the areas of breeding and showing.

Enjoys his owner's company and prefers to be close to his human family - can be reserved, in particular with strangers. They are bright and require a stimulating environment to bring out the best in them.

The Spanish Water Dog, Retrieving, Herding and Guardian Breed. The Spanish Water Dog is a medium sized breed with a woolly textured coat that is curly when short and can form cords when left to grow, they are a faithful and hard working breed. They can be shy to new people so keep them socialised At Helyeh Spanish Water Dogs we strive to breed for temperament and confirmation to suit both the show and sports ring and will be there to help new owners of the SWD along the way. Our girls compete in the show and sports ring in a variety of sports including, Agility, Obedience, Rally, Scent Works, Tricks and currently training in Dancing With Dogs, Tracking and Yard Dog. The SWD has strong genetic links to other ancient water breeds such as the Portuguese Water Dog, the French Barbet and the Irish Water Spaniel. The SWD is diligent, loyal, affectionate, and intelligent. They have very strong natural herding and guarding instincts, leading them to become the self-appointed guardians of their homes. SWDs thrive on work and play. Their athleticism and extremely hard working nature leads them to excel at any number of tasks. JARKK Chow Chows have available a beautiful Rough coat black female due to a change in circumstances. AVAILABLE NOW Zahli is a sweet little girl who loves affection and to be with the family. She is wonderful with children and other dogs. She has had some socialising done, walks on a lead, is house trained and has had all her vaccinations. Zahli has been regularly wormed and lives inside. She takes herself out to the yard when she wants to go outside. Zahli would rather be at the beach or at home with her family than in the show ring. It is with a heavy heart that I am looking for the best home for her. Zahli is registered with Dogs Australia on the main register. She comes from champion blood lines.
