Dog Breeders

Location - Sale, VIC

We are a small Kennel located in Sale. After over 25 years of having Huskies as members of our family we decided a few years ago to start breeding. Our principal reasons for breeding are to achieve well natured, well adjusted Huskies that are of high standard, typical of the breed and suitable for working or as pets. Pups are well socialised having spent lots of time around people and older dogs. Quite happy to be inside or out and love attention. Have been wormed every two weeks and first vaccination at six weeks. Health check by Vet at six weeks. Intended to be sold as pets on the Dogs Victoria Limited Register, with beautiful nature and typical of the breed, they are priced accordingly. Siberian Huskies are not suitable for everyone and it is important that you do some research if you have no prior experience with this breed. All puppies come Vaccinated, Microchipped, Wormed, Flea treated, complete health checks, DogsVic Registration papers. Our pups can be available on Limited or Main Register. Canyonlands Siberian Huskies was established in 1997 by Katrina Fisher. Many beautiful dogs and bloodlines were imported into Australia by Katrina and many Supreme, Grand and Champion dogs were recognised for their quality from local and international judges. Many of these were awarded multiple BIS, BISS not only in Australia but in the USA and other Countries around the world. In 2014 I was honoured to be offered to continue the legacy of Canyonlands and the high standards of the beautiful Siberian Husky by Katrina after she decided to retire from breeding and showing. I'm looking forward to the future of Canyonlands with a exciting future breedings planned. I will be back out in the show ring again once life returns to normal with my youngsters who are coming along nicely.

Passionate about the Siberian Husky, they have been a huge part of my life now for over 30 years and I couldn't imagine life without them. I have imported numerous dogs over these years from America and Canada as well as frozen semen to improve and increase the gene pool here in Australia. I have bred under 2 other kennel names in the past as well as my kennel name Krisaido which I have now returned too. 'Koolmove' being the most recent and the last litter was born in 2018. Over the 14 years breeding dogs under this name, many Supreme, Grand Champions & Champions were gained through winning multiple Best in Shows/Royals and Best in Show Specialties. Also seeing ‘Koolmove’ winning the ‘Breeder of the Year’ in 2017 DOL Pointscore. I am extremely proud of the dogs and all that were involved in achieving these prestigious awards.

MAYA
Female
D.O.B April 2021
Microchip # 985141001279621
Adoption Fee: $350

Maya is an absolute sweetheart that is learning how to trust people after a rough start in life.

After being passed around multiple homes that didn’t understand her breed, Maya is looking for a forever family that can build up her confidence and show her the love she deserves.

She’s an affectionate girl but can spook easily, so needs a home that can provide a very calm, predictable environment and is familiar with reading canine body language. For this reason she will need to go to a home where any children are at least secondary school aged.

Maya is not a fan of other dogs, so will need to be on only dog. She will thrive with a handler dedicated to teaching her leash skills and general obedience to help her make good choices.

She needs a typical Husky home with no cats or other small animals, and a yard with secure fencing and gates at least 6 foot high.

If you could give this amazing girl the life she deserves and meet all her requirements, please complete our adoption application.

Maya will need:

* any children to be at least in their teens
* a home with no other dogs
* no cats, pocket pets or other animals
* daily walks, always on lead
* a reasonable sized yard with grass areas and an undercover area for shelter
* fences and gates will need to be secure and at least 6 foot high
* Arctic breed experience, preferably with Husky ownership, is required.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET ALL MAYA’S REQUIREMENTS

BANDIT
D.O.B May 2014
Male
Microchip # 900012001105562
Adoption Fee: $350

This lovely fellow came to us from a regional pound where he had been surrendered by his owner, who could not have him in their new home. He had only been with the owner for 2 years so we don’t have much information about his past, although we have been told that he has lived with other dogs.

Bandit is a very affectionate boy who loves a cuddle and a belly-rub, but is also happy chilling out on his own outside or on the couch.

He has had some training and basic obedience (with the usual selective Husky-hearing!) and will sit and wait for food. He is quite easy to walk on lead but is quite interested in chasing wildlife and exploring, so as typical for the breed he can never be trusted off-lead.

Don’t be fooled by Bandit’s age, he looks and acts much younger than his 10 years and is still very active and loves going for walks. As often is the case with senior dogs, he has started to develop some arthritis which might limit his tolerance of strenuous exercise, however this is not affecting him greatly at the moment.

Bandit is okay with social dogs once he has got to know them, although initially he can be a bit too much in their face, so introductions need to be managed with care on lead. Despite his age, he wouldn’t be suitable with very young kids due to his exuberance when excited.

Bandit is a cheeky, affectionate, easy dog that will make a wonderful addition to a family willing to give an older dog a chance.

Bandit will need:

* any children to be at least school age
* no cats, pocket pets or other animals
* a home on his own or with a tolerant canine companion of similar size
* daily walks, always on lead
* a reasonable sized yard with grass areas and an undercover area for shelter
* fences and gates will need to be secure and at least 5 foot high
* Arctic breed experience, preferably with Husky ownership, is required.

Bandit is desexed, health checked and up to date with vaccinations

ELLA
Female
D.O.B - Jan 2020
Microchip # 953010004226823
Adoption Fee: $350

Ella is a gorgeous peach Husky girl with stunning blue eyes that will melt your heart. But don’t be fooled by that innocent look, this little lass is an absolute bundle of energy and playfulness!

Her foster carer has one word to sum up Ella – enthusiastic!

* Enthusiastic kisser
* Enthusiastic talker
* Enthusiastic player
* Enthusiastic on lead
* Enthusiastic prey drive with cats and birds

So in other words, Ella is your typical exuberant Husky full of life and liveliness! So Arctic breed experience, preferably with Husky ownership, is required.

And being the typical Husky, Ella will require the usual secure yard with shelter and 6 foot high fences and gates, walks always on lead, and any children to be in their teens.

Ella loves to chase and has quite a strong hunting instinct, so she would not be suitable for a home that has cats or other small pets.

Ella has lived in a multi-dog household and gets along with everyone, so we would like her to go to a home where she will have a canine playmate of similar size that will tolerate her enthusiasm and keep her company.

Ella will need:

* any children to be at least in their teens
* no cats, pocket pets or other animals
* a home with a canine companion of similar size
* daily walks, always on lead
* a reasonable sized yard with grass areas and an undercover area for shelter
* fences and gates will need to be secure and at least 6 foot high

Ella is desexed, health checked and up to date with vaccinations.

LUCIE

**ON HOLD**

Female
D.O.B. Sep 2021
Microchip # 956000014496076
Adoption Fee: $350

Lucie turns heads with her beautiful white coat and striking blue eyes. She has been getting along very well with the dogs she has met of all sizes, so Lucie would be suitable for a home with a male doggy companion to keep her company and share in some energetic play.

She loves walks and can be a little ‘pully’ as first but she soon settles and is a joy to go on a stroll with. As with most Huskies, she likes a good chase and has high prey drive so her walks always need to be on lead. So there needs to be no cats or pocket pets in her forever home.

Lucie has the typical Husky selective hearing and is very inquisitive, but don’t let that put you off as she loves nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa and lathering you with kisses! She will sit after a bit of coaxing and lacks basic recall, however her foster-carers have been making good progress and her new owners will need to be prepared to keep up the good work with her training.

Lucie loves to play ball but don’t expect to get it back as she loves to take off and do zoomies with the ball in her mouth! She also loves playing in the water and would benefit from a shell pool to splash around in, and she has shown an aptitude for scaling fences so she will need a yard with fences that are at very least 6 foot high and not climbable. Lucie is quite exuberant, so any children will need to be at least in their teens.

Lucie is such a wonderful girl and would make any lucky dog owner proud, so if you would like some lively Husky-love in your life and meet her requirements, please apply!

Pet Exchange Register Source Number: RE100304

Please do not apply unless you meet all of Lucie's requirements:

* Arctic breed experience, preferably with Husky ownership, is required.
* any children to be at least in their teens
* no cats, pocket pets or other animals
* a home with a canine companion of similar size
* daily walks, always on lead
* a reasonable sized yard with grass areas and an undercover area for shelter
* fences and gates will need to be secure and at least 6 foot high

ROSKY
Desexed Male
D.O.B June 2023
Microchip #: 900164002188370
Source # RE100304
Adoption Fee: $350

Rosky is a handsome fellow with stunning blue eyes who would love to find his forever family. He had been surrendered to a local shelter due to not getting along with the family cat, so he would not be suitable for a home that has cats or other small pets.

Rosky does not appear to have had much training, so he will need an owner who is firm but fair and who is prepared to set him some boundaries and commit to ongoing training and encouraging good manners. He can jump up and play a bit rough when he gets excited, so for this reason any children would need to be at least in their teens.

He has shown a very strong desire to chase and explore and has the usual Husky “selective deafness”, so walks must always be on lead in the hands of someone who can hang on tight when he decides something needs his urgent investigation.

Rosky is quite social with most other dogs but is also happy to chill out on his own, so he could be an only-dog or go to a home where he will have a canine girlfriend of similar size that will tolerate his youthful exuberant play.

Being a typical Husky, Rosky will need a secure yard with shelter and fences at least 6 foot high, and preferably also indoor access when the family is home.

Ideally we would like him to go to a home that has had experience with owning a playful young Husky, so if you meet Rosky’s requirements and need a bit more Husky-fun in your life, please apply!

Rosky is not available for interstate adoption and is not suitable for apartments, homes with small yards or rural areas.

Rosky will need:

* any children to be in their teens
* no cats, pocket pets or other animals
* a home as an only-dog or with a female canine companion of similar size
* Daily walks, always on lead
* A reasonable sized yard with grass & garden areas and an undercover area for shelter
* Fences and gates will need to be at least 6 foot high, secure and dig-proof
* Rosky will require a home with Arctic breed experience, preferably with Husky ownership.

RIVER
Male
D.O.B - May 2021
Microchip # 956000011196859
Adoption Fee $350

Who could say no to this stunning boy?

River is on the hunt for a new home that can give him all the love, respect and security that he needs.

At 3 years old, River has the typical energy and zoomies of a young adult male Husky. He's a cheeky fella that loves to play with other dogs, loves you to chase him and play, but doesn't really give two hoots about you! He's a rather independent lad that makes you work for his affection.

For this reason, River needs a home that isn't expecting a massive smoocher which he may become one over time as your relationship develops, but you need to be okay with him being an aloof arctic.

Being of such character, River needs a very secure yard with excellent fencing and a family well versed in typical Husky escape proofing and policies! He will thrive with consistency and boundaries, and would love a suitably playful canine companion.

River isn't suitable around young children due to his exuberance, and is definitely not for the first time Husky owner.

If you're looking for a new companion that will make you laugh and feel amazing when he does give you a little sugar every now and then, please apply for River today!

River new home requires:
* any children to be at least in their teens
* no cats, pocket pets or other small animals
* daily walks, always on lead
* a reasonable sized yard with grass areas and an undercover area for shelter
* fences and gates will need to be secure and at least 6 foot high
* Arctic breed experience, preferably with Husky ownership, is required.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET ALL RIVER'S REQUIREMENTS

DUSTY
Desexed Male
D.O.B Sept 2024

Microchip # 985170002949374
Pet Exchange Source # RE100304
Adoption Fee $350

This charming older gentleman came to us after being dumped at a regional pound when his owner was moving overseas. He had lived his entire life in the backyard on a chain, so we weren’t sure how he would transition into being an inside dog, but he took it in his stride!

Dusty is a very affectionate boy and will literally shove his head into your lap for pats and cuddles. Once he’s had enough, he then trots off to do his own thing, happily independent.

He still loves being outside and has a couple of favourite spots in the backyard that he spends the hours in, be it a bed at the back door or a hiphole in the garden. He is very content to spend his time sunbaking while his family is at work.

Even though this Husky lad is entering his senior years, he’s still very active and loves going for walks. Given his age, he has started to develop some arthritis which limits his capacity for extended exercise, so his new family needs to be mindful of these limitations (because he will just keep going!)

Dusty loves other dogs and plays in typical Husky bitey-face fashion. He can be quite bossy and excited when first introduced to new canine friends, but settles down with guidance. He’d love to have another dog to spend his days with, so long as they were okay with him being in charge.

Dusty is very vocal when he wants something – dinner, walks, car rides, to go outside, to say hello!

Dusty currently lives with primary school-aged children and is very good with them, but wouldn’t be suitable with very young kids due to his ageing joints and penchant for stealing unattended snacks. He also has a very high prey drive, so will need a home where dogs are the only animals on the property. Secure, 5 foot high fencing is required.

Dusty is a funny, loveable, easy dog that will make a wonderful addition to a family willing to give an older dog his forever home.

Dusty is not available for interstate adoption and is not suitable for apartments, homes with small yards or rural areas.

Dusty will need:

* any children to be at least school age
* no cats, pocket pets or other animals
* a home with a canine companion of similar size
* daily walks, always on lead
* a reasonable sized yard with grass areas and an undercover area for shelter
* fences and gates will need to be secure and at least 5 foot high
* Arctic breed experience, preferably with Husky ownership, is required.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET ALL THE DOG'S REQUIREMENTS.
