Glenstarz is sister kennel to the well known and award winning kennel Glenstar Lagotto Romagnolo in New Zealand, where we breed, show and own the dogs in Australia along side each other. We believe in staying up-to-date with the best breeding practices. Extensive regular health-testing, research, mentoring and ongoing learning are essential Lagottos are a breed with diverse potential and may be suitable for many purposes (including loving pets, assistance dogs, dog sports and so much more!). In order to provide a solid foundation for puppies and owners for all their future endeavours, we are very passionate about raising puppies who are poised to be mentally stable adult dogs. Along with selective breeding, I utilise Puppy Culture and ENS to start puppies on their journey to being confident, resilient and well-rounded adults. Through fostering and maintaining relationships with experts in the breed, I have been lucky to incorporate dogs with incredible lines from around the world. Our dogs pedigrees are packed full of dogs from some of the best kennels worldwide. All our dogs are extensively health tested, including but not limited too: Hip/elbow scores, eye scores, patellas checked and DNA tested. The Lagotto Romagnolo is a small/medium curly coated gun dog originating from Italy. The breed can be traced back several hundred years and is the foundation dog to all water dogs such as Poodles, Portuguese Water Dogs, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retrievers to name but a few. The breed is not well known in NZ and is often mistaken as a spoodle (gasp). Our dogs are raised on a beautiful life style block in the Wairarapa. We adhere to Dogs New Zealand Breeders Code of Conduct. We have health tests performed on our breeding stock as recommended by the New Zealand Lagotto Romagnolo Club. Because my passion is dog sports, breeding for temperament is of paramount importance to me. I am a trainer at my local dog club and compete in obedience and Rally O. We have kept the Lagotto Romagnolo breed for a number of years & there are many Incavale Lagottos competing in conformation shows & other ANKC dog sports throughout Australia and overseas. Some of our boys & girls are now registered Therapy Dogs, we have a number being used as truffle dogs, some are being trained as retrievers & there are of course others that are family pets. Most if not all of our mature show dogs are titled & we have younger dogs well on the way to becoming champions. We breed to the Breed Standard & our dogs are raised in an environment that assures social confidence and good health. Our dogs are health tested for all known issues affecting the breed. We keep a number of stud dogs & will only breed dogs that have excellent hip & elbow scores. We also test patellas We have imported a number of titled working dogs from Europe, have imported semen available & keep both locally bred & imported dogs for stud work. We sometimes have puppies available to select homes and we are quite happy to have visitors interested in the breed, visit us. It's important for those who have an interest in learning more about the breed to understand that this breed is a working dog breed and it is essential that you have time to train your Lagotto. Welcome to Alandria Lagotto Romagnola based in Wynnum south of Brisbane. We have had our beautiful girls and a boy we have kept from our breeding Ch Alandria given to fly as part of our family for since 2016 and in which time we have taken part in many shows and have done some scent finding work. We have Ch Duoforza Queenie, Alandria Panama and Getagotto Cupcake all of our girls are clear and not a carrier for all DNA tests done as well as hip scores are A and B Ch Alandria given to fly Hips scores and DNA complete and with great results, now available at stud - proven sire with his litters resulting 11 beautiful health pups. email [email protected]

We are delighted to announce the anticipated arrival of Lagotto puppies from ‘Sara’ and 'Teddy'. We currently have a white male available offering him for sale at $2500. Here at Rustufarion we are committed to the health of our breeding dogs and understand the importance this has in raising genetically healthy puppies. Our lagottos have been screened for the known and genetically testable disorders evident in the Lagotto. Screening breeding animals prior to breeding will ensure these preventable disorders do not affect your puppy from Rustufarion. Further health checks of our breeding dogs includes screening for Hip Dysplasia. We do everything possible to produce puppies with sound temperaments and confirmation and this has been factored into the selection of a suitable sire for these puppies. For this reason we also raise new born puppies in our home where they receive constant supervision, attention and interaction within a busy home. During the first weeks we focus on raising our puppies within a warm environment and commence neurological stimulation. Our puppies are pedigree registered with Dogs NSW as well as being vet checked and vaccinated, microchipped and come with 6 weeks of puppy health insurance. We have been blessed with some beautiful Lagotto Romagnolo, with excellent temperament, to start with them in the show ring! I am so happy with what we’ve achieved in our first few years with this breed ( we also have WHW Terriers) And now we finally have our own litter of little curly puppies from our amazing foundation bitch ‘Callie’. Born on Christmas Eve 2024. Callie is 3 and has had an exceptional career, becoming an Australian champion at 9 months, grand champion at 2 years and is also the first Lagotto to attain both her A2O and C.I.B titles!! She was Best in Show at the Lagotto Romagnolo breed specialty show, Sydney Royal in 2023 and has also won several Best in Groups, runner up Best in groups and Class in show awards. But the most important thing is that she is an absolute delight and wins hearts wherever she goes! Puppies sire ‘Ziggy’ JWW '23, EUJW'23 Aust Ch Bombadee Lucky Strike (IMP POL) arrived from Europe at the end of 2023 and also has an amazing, friendly temperament and a coat curl to to die for! This litter was bred for ourselves to have progeny of this wonderful girl out showing in 2025 but we may have a couple looking for new homes in 2025 so enquiries are welcome @lahdedah_lagotto
