Grá Mo Chroi in Gaelic means 'in my heart' or 'love of my heart'. As soon as you welcome an Irish Terrier into your life, you are bound to fall in love. My husband and I did, with our first Irish Terrier, Rufus(from Roismar Kennels), back well over a decade ago. When he left our lives, we were inspired to get more involved with the breed. Over the past five years I have been extremely fortunate to be mentored by Pam Gerrey from Tawnyoak, and have got involved in dog shows (which was more fun than I thought) - to ensure what I breed maintains the standards of this beautiful heritage breed. How to best describe what it’s like living with an Irish Terrier? They are loving but irrepressibly cheeky. They are energetic, but also enjoy a cuddle. They are mischievous but will make you laugh (daily). Anyone I have ever met who has owned an Irish always smile in delight at their memories of their dogs. They are the best dogs. Our litters are raised in a family environment and are well socialised, drawing on Puppy Culture principles. Happy to chat and help out with grooming and learning how to hand strip a harsh coat.
