Montiverdi Kennels was established in the early 1990s with Italian Spinoni and English Springer Spaniels. We have reduced the size of our dogs, but not their personality! Generally we breed one litter of Italian Greyhounds per year. We prefer solid coloured dogs of Continental type; our breeding dogs come from Eltazzi lines and imported European stock. We produce healthy, robust puppies, reflective of their purpose as small hunting dogs. We want dogs with good conformation and correct movement, able to excel in activities such as endurance and lure coursing, as well as having careers in the show ring. They should have excellent temperaments and make loving companions. Puppies are raised in our house and, when old enough, explore our acreage and meet other people and dogs. Breeding dogs are DNA tested for heritable conditions. Potential owners need to demonstrate a deep commitment to their dog and, in return, can expect a lifetime of friendship and support. They will be vaccinated, vet checked, dewormed and microchipped when they go to their new homes. They will be registered with Dogs West and names still to be decided. Expressions of Interest We are seeking expressions of interest for our upcoming litter of beautiful Italian Greyhound puppies. Parents are from the old Australian lines. All of our puppies are bred in accordance with the ANKC registration requirement for purebred dogs. Our dogs are part of the family. Puppies are whelped in the lounge room and are reared in the house. They are raised according to Puppy Culture principles. We are happy to share regular updates from whelping as they grow into the lovely little dogs that will become your companion. They are accompanied by a comprehensive Puppy Pack, 6 weeks Insurance cover and Lifetime support. They will be DNA profiled for proof of parentage, wormed, vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and registered with Dogs Queensland Limited Register (You will receive pedigree "papers"). This registration gives you the ability to participate in Obedience and Agility Competition. Our puppies are toilet trained to an indoor system. Our puppies tend to be varying shades of blue, black and seal, although occasionally we have a lighter blue-fawn or even a fawn puppy. We don’t take any deposits or allocate any puppies until after their 6-week check-up/vaccination appointment with the Vet. Peaches is looking for a new home. She is 1 year old. Peaches LOVES people and loves being with her human family for cuddles. She is keen to please. She is toilet trained, uses a doggy door and will happily spend the night in your bed with you. She loves going for walkies and is very happy to be on a lead with you but does sometimes get a little nervous when other dogs approach her without an invitation. She has been raised with other dogs and children and would likely settle well with a cat, once she understands the cat is boss. She is a very happy girl who just wants to be with people.
