After showing and breeding Staffordshire Bull Terriers for over 40 years we were looking for a smaller breed with the same steady nature (although nothing will ever take the place of all the Staffords!) and the Border Terrier fits the bill perfectly. While in Australia our prefix was Blackshot, as the kennel name Warmaster which Sandra first registered in NZ in 1980 for the Staffords is not available in Australia. We are very proud to have been entrusted with such amazing dogs as our foundation. Our first Border was Rebus - Sup Ch Bohunt Hue And Cry SE. Tragically killed by a snake February 2019. Our incredible introduction to this beautiful breed. Ch Blackshot A Bit Of Reckon from our first Border litter won Best In Show at the Sporting Terrier Club of Queensland February 2020 Championship show - at 9.5 months of age. Ch Blackshot Act of Dog from our second Border litter won Runner Up to Best in Show at this same show 2 years later. We are looking forward to getting our two latest boys in the ring in New Zealand, from our third and forth Border litters. Chanpema Kennels was established in 1995 with our first Labrador CH ELORAC BORIS BROWN (Boris) from ELORAC Kennels. In 2004 We introduced the Border Terrier after falling in love with their personalities. Apamura Ralph Lauren was then introduced to our Kennels, sine this time we have been successful with our Border terriers, making up a Grand champion and several champions. Chanpema Kennels breeds for temperament, soundness and quality. At CHANPEMA kennels we breed for quality not quantity.

I purchased my first border terrier in 2014. Trixie has her show ring title and competed in the agility ring. I recently acquired my third border terrier which I have started to show before we go onto agility. She will be my next breeding dog, hopefully some time in 2025. Mondarrah Terriers are located in Gippsland Victoria. We are a small kennel dedicated to breeding well-socialized quality Border Terriers, our goal is breeding true to type Border Terriers suitable for all disciplines, emphasizing movement and temperament. They will succeed equally well in the ring, agility, fieldwork, or simply as a healthy, loving companion. All our breeding's are planned for maintaining the integrity of this amazing breed as our priority. Our puppies are raised in our home, with a lot of socialization and training, giving them a good foundation. Border Terriers are happy and outgoing little dogs that are a pleasure to own in every way. We also have our male dog for Stud to selected females. Puppies are sometimes available to approved homes that have been in contact and made an effort. All puppies are registered, microchipped, vaccinated and have passed a fully veterinary heath check. They are loving, loyal companions to those who are lucky enough to be owned by them. We love to see them go to forever family homes where they are beloved family members.
