We have been breeding Australian Cattle Dogs for approximately 20 years, for work or show. The dogs are worked every day on our cattle property, but also must have an excellent temperament around children. Our current sire is of exceptional quality and all blood lines can be traced back to Australian champions.

We are a small kennel selectively breeding occasionally. Puppy inquiries welcome.

We are small scale breeders located on the QLD/NSW border 350km south west of Brisbane.We aim to have 2 litters of pups per year,both reds and blues.Here at Coomerith we strive to breed as close as possible to the breed standard,with type and temperament being primarily what we aim for. We have been involved with Aust Cattle Dogs since 1982 with our first bitch being purchased off Geoff & Barb Tucker from the "Greeben" kennels in Toowoomba."Greeben Andrea"(blue bitch)taught us so much about this wonderful breed. It was not until 2000 that the Coomerith prefix was registered and our breeding program begun.Coomerith pups have been sold to people all over Australia whether it be for showing,working or just a companion. Our dogs have a mixture of champion Qld,Nsw and Victorian bloodlines.Our pups are reared in a family environment with a strong working instinct and are heavily socialised from the day their eyes are open.Pups are sold guaranteed sound and able to work to the best of ones ability to teach them. We specialise in puppies of excellent type and temperament. We have bred many Champions over years both here in Australia and overseas. We currently have 3 main stud dogs and have approximately 4 - 5 litters each year. All of our stud dogs are hip and elbow scored and all of our breeding stock is fully DNA tested before being mating. Cubbie is a 3 year old desexed cattle dog, he has been shown and is a few points shy of his championship. He is a very loyal dog who would suit an experienced cattle dog owner. He is clear of any genetic disease and is available for the price of vet work at $700. He is fully crate trained and has strong recall when offlead. Sadly I have decided to re-home my 3yo red male Aust Champion Heelersridge The Power Of One. Arlo has a loving nature and energy to burn. He just loves to run and unfortunately, due to my age and health, I cannot give him the life he deserves. He is from excellent champion bloodlines and is Dogs NSW pedigree registered. He has been predominantly a kennel dog, but has spent some time in the house with me so I am confident he would adjust nicely to indoor life. Arlo is lead trained, crate trained and keen to learn anything you might like to teach him. He is fully DNA tested and is clear for all known hereditary diseases, his vaccinations and worming are up to date. Although he is de-sexed, and a lover not a fighter, I feel he would be better as a one dog family (or with a female dog) as he has been an active stud dog. I will only consider the best of homes, and preferably somewhere rural (not suburban) and with someone that has had cattle dogs before. This is a very hard decision for me and I am not in a hurry for him to leave, so only the very best of homes will be considered. Ace is a young male who is a fantastic family dog. He likes to sit on the doorstep and follow the kids around. Gets excited around motorbikes but is good with basic commands, crate trained, house trained, walks nicely on lead and good off lead. Not a dominant male, and has been raised with other dogs and children. Great in the car.
