We have been involved in the fabulous breed in both breed confrontation showing and breeding for 30+ years. We breed sparingly but pride ourselves in producing a sound true to type dog suitable as a loving family member, and for the show ring if desired. We specialize in combining the best of overseas and NZ breed lines to produce a fun loving dog to suit most family environments. We stand behind our dogs for the duration of there lives and support our new owners with information, training guides and fun puppy get togethers to ensure a good fit for you and your family. Our breeding stock have all been tested for JME ( all dogs clear) DM. ( all dogs clear ) All carrying excellent Hip and Elbow score, as well as some other tests that come in the test package for the RR A copy of all of these will be included in the puppy take home pack and explanation of each available upon request. LoveridgeNZ kennel is based in Waipu, Northland. I have been involved with Rhodesian Ridgebacks for over 20 years. I adore them and have owned 6. I have worked with them in obedience, agility, scent work and k9 good citizenship. They have wonderful loving, loyal temperaments. My current breeding bitch is CH Relko Red Squirrel.She had her first litter in 2016, The David Bowie Litter.. My pups are raised with a puppy enrichment program and enjoy the good life on my 15 acre property. The pups go to approved homes only. Prospective owners are encouraged to come and 'meet the pups' and have relevant questions answered. Pups are vet checked, vaccinated and wormed at 6 weeks old.. Both bitch and sire have been successfully hip scored and tested and cleared for genetic disorders. I'm breeding for sound temperament as well as.stunning good looks!! My Ridgebacks are happy in the show-ring, being petted for hours on a Pet Expo Stand or tramping up the forest. As long as they are with you they are happy. Rhodesian Ridgeback are a large breed that are excellent guard dogs and family pets. They are loyal and kind and enjoy time lazing in the sun or curled up by a fire, my big girl currently spends her evenings as a therapy dog for my son, who reads with her every night. I have been privileged own Amber, my first RR and foundation dog to start my kennel. My RR are raised with myself, my children and are socialized with children, elderly and my smaller Japanese spitz dogs. I aim to breed true to type correct puppies using only the best lines. I enjoy showing my RR, and we also enjoy an array of outdoor activities. My RR are always keen to go for a walk and have been on hikes up Mt Te Aroha where we live. I am now taking expressions of interest for my next litter of puppies. These are well bred puppies and I hope to have more showing from the mother befor a litter. Each puppy will come with DogNZ pedigree papers. From carefully selected and health tested parents the puppies will be fully vet checked, vaccinated, and treated regularly to prevent worms/fleas. They each comes with a puppy package. I am always here to offer advice through out your puppies life.

Reluctantly, I am looking for a new forever home for my gorgeous Zuri (Australian Ch Rijstone Wyndrunhrs Rubys Gift (AI)) She is 6 years old, fit, trim and very healthy, has recently had a litter of pups and been desexed. She has a big outgoing cheeky personality. She is used to being with other ridgebacks and has lived inside and outside but now prefers to be inside and being amongst daily family life. She will either need the company of another ridgeback or people who are mainly home. She is very affectionate and craves attention. She is crate and toilet trained. She loves going for walks. She is excellent with people and children and may ok with other breeds of dogs if introduced slowly. No cats and Zuri has never been around one. Having made a decision as to which of my gorgeous boys I am going to go on with from my last (after 40 years) Ridgeback litter, I am making Doc (Isilwane I Am The Future) available for sale. He is a 12 month old very handsome Liver nose boy, from fully tested parents. He has been rotating between my place (semi rural) and a good friend's (suburban surrounds), he is lead trained (slip collar and lead - no harnesses), crate trained, house trained, socialised with lots of other breeds including his Staffy girlfriend Millie, whippets, German Shepherds. He has also been shown with success (happy to consider someone who'd like to bond with him and take him out again - he doesn't like to be rushed). He is very well behaved in the house and was easily taught the boundary of the kitchen when goes on his visits, knows what "on your bed" means and loves bounding onto the bed in the morning for a smooch. Good with kids. Hasn't been around cats. He would do really really well with a companion but also fine if on his own with great humans in his life. This is not a rescue/rehouse situation. He is for sale and we have put a great deal of time and effort into making sure he has the best training (as has his brother) ready for when I made this decision. He is up to date on worming and vaccinations. Happy to do the move to a new home over time with visits and sleepovers to acclimatise him to a new home & family.
