Established in 1998, we are a small, select Kennel located in South Australia combining quality Australian, European and American bloodlines.

Breeders of Multiple National Best in Specialty Show, Multiple Best in Specialty Show, Multiple RU Best in Specialty Show and Best in Show winning dogs in Australia and Europe.

Only breeding occasionally, we put an enormous amount of research into all our breeding plans, working to introduce a healthy amount of genetic diversity via out-crossing to outstanding examples of the breed from around the world. We breed for type, functionality and soundness, but most of all temperament. Puppies are lovingly reared in our home, and extensively socialised, and introduced at a young age to a wide range of stimuli to maximise their learning and development.

Kushika puppies have gone on to excel in many disciplines under the guiding hand of their dedicated owners, such as Obedience, Conformation, Tracking, Track and Search and Endurance, but most importantly they make wonderful, lifelong family companions.

We are a select small kennel in South Australia, home to both brown and black nose Ridgebacks.

When choosing a Ridgeback as a companion, we believe temperament and soundness are most important. Our breeding program, choice of stud dogs and puppies reflect this importance.

We also participate in many various dog related disciplines, including Conformation showing, Obedience, Dances with Dogs and Heelwork to Music. Our dogs enjoy life on our 20acre property at Lower Inman Valley (near Victor Harbor). My dogs are family companions first and foremost therefore a sound temperament is a must.

At Macumazahn we have 2 litters per year, with puppies available to the discerning Ridgeback lover. All breeding stock is hip and elbow xrayed, full Breed DNA, heart certified, along with other screen checks. I breed selectively and lovingly raise my babies in a home environment using the "Puppy Culture" method, with all the care and attention that is necessary for happy, healthy & well socialised puppies. I provide ongoing support for my puppy owners.

Raised in our home environment on our property. Puppies interact with all the adult dogs from birth and are well socialised. Wormed regularly, vaccinated, microchipped & health checked. They are available to start leaving from 9wks. Limited reg puppies are sterilised by way of vasectomy or tubal ligation (bitches) so they still have their hormones to grow to their full potential. This also conforms to the Dog & Cat Management Board regulations for puppy ownership in SA.

Puppies go with lifetime support from myself, comprehensive puppy care information folder also with all health certificates of the parents & puppy, pedigrees, clicker etc. A supply of food they are raised on, toys, blanket with the litter & dam's scent on to help your puppy adjust to their new surroundings & homemade natural training treats.

I can arrange reliable interstate or overseas transport using trusted carriers who I have dealt with for 30yrs.
