Welcome to Corshelgi Welsh Pembroke Corgis located in Lake Macquarie NSW.

We have been involved with German Shepherds and Pembroke Corgis for around 40years and recently, on retirement, we attained our Registered Kennel Name so as to devote our full attention to our love of the breed and enable us to share this love with others. Aura (Cucchin Splashafinery) Zen (Pemvale Put a Sock in it) and Halo (Corshelgi Spirit Angle) are our beloved Corgis. All have beautiful natures and come from good lines.

We have a free range approach to running our Kennel and raising our pups. Aura, Zen and Hal are a major part of the family living in the house, having yard access, lots of love and attention. They attend obedience training for trialling which they enjoy every Sunday and are entered into shows regularly. Both are good socializing events.
Corshelgi breeding will only take place according to the guidelines of Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC) code of practice. All dogs used for our breeding have been genetically health tested and we only use the best American, British, Japanese and Australian bloodlines.
Our wish is to establish a small Kennel only, having 1 or 2 exciting litters a year.

We have been fortunate to have had a wonderful introduction to this breed when we purchased Ch Fergwyn Far Horizons (Richie) from Mrs B Ludowici. Although at the time we were relative novices to the show world, we were able to partner Richie to achieve his Grand Champion title.

Since then we have been breeding dogs of sound temperament and structure that achieve success in the show ring but equally as important, dogs that will become treasured family members. Our puppies are well socialised and come with Vaccinations, Micro chipping, Worming history and Pedigree Certificates.

I bred my first litter of Pembroke corgis in 1972. Our pups have always been raised in our home with 24 hour care. We are raising baby pups here at the moment and enquiries are always welcome. Our family picnic days have been fun and allowed people to meet our dogs and pups. We hope to hold two more picnics before the end of this year, no dates have been set yet. If you would like to attend please send me a note. We have been testing our corgis for problems associated with hips, elbows, eyes and hearts since 2003 and are confident of being able to offer pups with very low risk of these disorders. Our entire breeding program is clear of SCID, EIC, and vWD. Vaccination, worming, microchipping and six weeks free pet insurance is standard. Since 2010 my friends and I have been very successful showing dogs owned and/or bred by Nireno at major international competitions. Our genetics are consistently competitive against the very best in the world, including at Crufts this year. We have 2 pups available from our current litter born 23 September 2024. There is currently 1 male and 1 female red and white pups available ( both with tails). These pups are now 8 weeks old and are ready to go to their new homes. The puppies have been well handled since birth ( mum Dusty outdid herself and produced 9 gorgeous pups) as we were supplementing feed from Day 1. The puppies have been vaccinated and microchipped. They have been wormed fortnightly. The pups have been reared on a premium kibble in conjunction with BARF puppy mixture. Pups will go to their new homes with sufficient food to make the transition easier. Our pups are reared in the home and are socialised with some of our other dogs. They have had time to run and play in our grassed front yard ( under supervision). These pups will be registered with Dogs NSW on Limited registration meaning that they are not to be bred from or shown but can still participate in other dog sports such as agility, scentwork, obedience etc. The pups will go on a desex contract that requires them to be desexed once they reach adequate maturity ( between 8 and 12 months). My pups go to their new homes with a puppy pack to make the transition easier. I am always available to provide support for my puppy buyers.
