It is here we live on 5 acres of grounds with our dogs. Breeding true to type, sound Ridgebacks with great temperaments is our main aim as well as enjoying the show dog scene. All dogs used in my breeding program have been hip and elbow scored for dysplasia, DNA tested for DM, JME, the Dilute (blue) gene and more. I pride my self on the time & effort that goes in to finding the right breeding lines, temperament and dogs to compliment my females. I have imported three males and a female all from well respected breeders or specialty judges for the breed. I also import frozen semen to offer myself and others a fantastic family pet or show dog. Dogs I have bred are active in Agility, Rally-o, obedience and the show scene. All puppies are socialised with our family and of course our other dogs and friends that visit. Your new puppy will come with: 1st health check & vaccination. (including checks for Dermoid Sinus) Wormed every 2 weeks from 2 weeks of age. 4 weeks pet insurance. LoveridgeNZ kennel is based in Waipu, Northland. I have been involved with Rhodesian Ridgebacks for over 20 years. I adore them and have owned 6. I have worked with them in obedience, agility, scent work and k9 good citizenship. They have wonderful loving, loyal temperaments. My current breeding bitch is CH Relko Red Squirrel.She had her first litter in 2016, The David Bowie Litter.. My pups are raised with a puppy enrichment program and enjoy the good life on my 15 acre property. The pups go to approved homes only. Prospective owners are encouraged to come and 'meet the pups' and have relevant questions answered. Pups are vet checked, vaccinated and wormed at 6 weeks old.. Both bitch and sire have been successfully hip scored and tested and cleared for genetic disorders. I'm breeding for sound temperament as well as.stunning good looks!! My Ridgebacks are happy in the show-ring, being petted for hours on a Pet Expo Stand or tramping up the forest. As long as they are with you they are happy. Amuri Rhodesian Ridgebacks is situated in the village of Murchison, near the top of the South Island, NZ. Living on a lifestyle block, our dogs enjoy sharing the land with our cattle, sheep & horses. The girls are part of our family, & are involved in almost everything we do. From helping with the orphan lambs/calves, cafés/shopping, beach runs, to strutting their stuff in the show ring. My passion for this breed started over 20 years ago, after having a bitch & her son. They had never left my heart, so the hunt for another RR blessed us with THREE girls from Koruridge. We are so very proud to own them. My husband is now hooked, & so Amuri Rhodesian Ridgebacks was born! Our girls have tested clear for Degenerative Myelopathy, Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy, & do not carry the Dilute/Blue coat colour gene. All have excellent Hip/Elbow scoring, and great natures. Going forward, any Dogs chosen for our Bitches will have been tested for the above. This breed is super versatile, so should have great natures & be sound for Lure Coursing, Agility, Obedience, Show Ring & most importantly, amazing companions! Reluctantly, I am looking for a new forever home for my gorgeous Zuri (Australian Ch Rijstone Wyndrunhrs Rubys Gift (AI)) She is 6 years old, fit, trim and very healthy, has recently had a litter of pups and been desexed. She has a big outgoing cheeky personality. She is used to being with other ridgebacks and has lived inside and outside but now prefers to be inside and being amongst daily family life. She will either need the company of another ridgeback or people who are mainly home. She is very affectionate and craves attention. She is crate and toilet trained. She loves going for walks. She is excellent with people and children and may ok with other breeds of dogs if introduced slowly. No cats and Zuri has never been around one. Having made a decision as to which of my gorgeous boys I am going to go on with from my last (after 40 years) Ridgeback litter, I am making Doc (Isilwane I Am The Future) available for sale. He is a 12 month old very handsome Liver nose boy, from fully tested parents. He has been rotating between my place (semi rural) and a good friend's (suburban surrounds), he is lead trained (slip collar and lead - no harnesses), crate trained, house trained, socialised with lots of other breeds including his Staffy girlfriend Millie, whippets, German Shepherds. He has also been shown with success (happy to consider someone who'd like to bond with him and take him out again - he doesn't like to be rushed). He is very well behaved in the house and was easily taught the boundary of the kitchen when goes on his visits, knows what "on your bed" means and loves bounding onto the bed in the morning for a smooch. Good with kids. Hasn't been around cats. He would do really really well with a companion but also fine if on his own with great humans in his life. This is not a rescue/rehouse situation. He is for sale and we have put a great deal of time and effort into making sure he has the best training (as has his brother) ready for when I made this decision. He is up to date on worming and vaccinations. Happy to do the move to a new home over time with visits and sleepovers to acclimatise him to a new home & family.
