We are Nyahridge, ANKC registered breeders of Rhodesian Ridgebacks, located in Dixons Creek, Victoria. Also home to 'A Dogs Domain and Cats too' dog boarding and cattery, amongst the Yarra Valley.

Our journey started in 2017 when we were introduced to Greg and Rowhin from Zambuana Lodge, NSW when we purchased our very first Ridgeback. We haven't looked back since and look forward to continuing our great relations with them throughout the years.

Our aim is to follow on with the years of knowledge and breed experience and to breed some beautiful Ridgebacks in both sound quality and temperaments.

We are a family kennel and have been breeding and had Rhodesian Ridgebacks living with us in our home since 1984. Our lives would not be complete without our beautiful Ridgebacks,

Breeding true to type, excellence in temperament, health and soundness. Breeding for show or family companions.

Our Ridgebacks are X-rayed for hip and elbow dysplasia and DNA tested for Degenerative Myelopathy, Myoclonic Epilepsy Rhodesian Ridgeback type, all cleared before breeding.

Our puppies are raised in our family home. They are vet checked, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. Pups are checked at birth and then each week for Dermoid Sinus. We take seriously where our puppies go and it is very important our pups go to caring loving homes.

At Khanysha, we aim to breed quality Rhodesian Ridgebacks with exceptional temperaments, confirmation and movement. We live on acreage, so our ridgebacks have lots of space to run and play together as a pack.

We take great care with our breeding program ensuring we find the right stud dogs to compliment our bitches and keep the quality & type we aim to breed. They are DNA tested, Hip & Elbow scored to ensure we are breeding with healthy animals. Copies of this information is provided in our puppy packs. Our semen has been imported from overseas and also sourced here in Australia.

Our puppies are raised in our home with our young children who handle them daily, they have a large area outside to explore life on the farm and are introduced to other animals. Before they leave for their forever homes the are confident and well socialised. They are vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and come with a extensive puppy pack with information and ongoing support from us.

Ujamaa kennels- breeders of champions and companions since 1978. We have owned or bred over 40 Champions, but show rarely these days. Our primary objective is to breed sound companions- to do this we source the best stud dogs for our girls- most recently travelling to Crufts in the UK and the World Dog show in Croatia to find the best. Our current companions are Aust Ch Ujamaa Alessandra Facchinetti (Allie) and Ujamaa Winx, daughter of Int Ch Vizara Jukati and Allie.

I have a particular interest in genetic diseases and dogs we breed with are routinely screened for sound hips, elbows and degenerative myelopathy (DM). Some lines are also screened for cardiac issues by ultrasound and/or hypothyroidism.

We also work with Cat Glenn and family- they are owned by Zuri and Rosie. Fran Parsons and her pack are also in "the family"

Shangoridge are currently taking expressions of interest while they excitedly await their expected up and coming litter due at the end of August.

Both parents have been hip/ elbow scored with excellent results, as well as having their DNA profiling done and being clear of JME and DM. Both Vin and Inka have lovely temperaments, Inka proved to be an exceptional mum to her first litter and absolutely adores babies be it her own litter or someone else’s. We have been involved with showing and breeding our Rhodesian Ridgebacks for 15 years, only breeding occasionally. Our puppies are raised on our rural property in our home along with our adult dogs and children. Shangoridge puppies come with ANKC registration, are wormed every two weeks and receive their first Vaccinations. Each Shangoridge puppy comes with a puppy pack containing all their documentation and informative guide to raising a Shangoridge puppy along with a few toys, treats and extras to help puppies settle into their new homes, with ongoing breeder support.
