HISTORY - The Prazsky Krysarik, or Prague Ratter, is a rare breed with a history dating back to the 8th century. Originating in the Czech Republic, these dogs were once cherished by nobility & royalty, often gifted to foreign rulers as symbols of diplomacy & friendship. Initially favoured for their elegance & agility in royal courts, Prague Ratters later became popular among commoners for their rat-hunting skills.
TEMPERAMENT - Known for their intelligence, ease of training, and affectionate nature, Prague Ratters are agile, quick, & display natural nobility. They are slightly reserved with strangers but incredibly loyal & friendly within their families, thriving on human companionship & involvement in daily life. Gentle, curious, and loving, they are ideal companions for all ages.

We have 4 beautiful female gsp pups available for adoption. Pups come vet checked, microchipped, vaccinated are wormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age. All puppies are well socialised and raised in a family environment located on acerage and are desensitised to all sorts of noises and our other animals giving them the best start in life. We have just the one beautiful black puppy looking for his new family. He is gentle, outgoing, confident and playful.

We have been breeding our beautiful type of elegant GSP for more than 50 years. We compete in dogs sports to prove our dogs’ soundness, intelligence and more importantly their temperament and trainability. Our litters have many generations of breeding lines that have been exceptionally successful competing in many of the dog sports.

Because we are dog trainers, we pay special attention to socialisation, frequent handling, exploring different environments and varied experiences to ensure a confident, friendly, outgoing nature. Pups are raised to encourage easy house training, not to jump all over you and wants to come when called.

As a vet I ensure the best healthy start to life. Pups are wormed, heart worm prevention started, micro-chipped and vaccinated. They are kept at correct lean weight to minimise future joint problems.

We give full follow up, and love to keep in touch with our pups, including a Facebook group for our owners where we continue to publish photos, news and advice.
