We have a 5 acre farm in beautiful Annangrove & have been Dogs NSW registered since 2010.
I have been involved with dogs all my life, from high school volunteering every Sunday at the RSPCA cleaning kennels & caring for the dogs.
Animals in general are a very large focus of our family & we are very privileged to own & breed these amazing dogs.
All our puppies are raised in our home with our children & grandchildren & we strive to produce very well socialised, fearless, happy & very healthy puppies.

Candalan is a small show and breeding kennel located in Canberra, specializing in black & tan and ruby Cavaliers. Our dogs are much loved family members and we invest a lot of time and energy into our dogs and puppies, We aim for soundness, correct size and type and well-adjusted, confident dogs with happy outgoing temperaments. They enjoy a variety of activities, such as daily walks, obedience work at trial level, and agility.

Our dogs are heart- and DNA tested for Episodic Falling, Curly Coat Dry Eye, and Degenerative Myelopathy.

Occasionally, we have puppies available to loving, responsible pet homes. All puppies not kept for showing are sold on Limited Registration with a desexing contract. The puppies will go to their new families vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and Vet checked.

We have been breeding and showing all four colours in Cavalier's since 1978. We have many champions here and overseas. We have been testing Hearts and Eye for many years with Specialists. All our breeding stock has been tested for Curly Coat and Episodic falling by DNA. We are currently doing MRI's for SM. Cavaliers are a wonderful companion dog and enjoy being part of our family. Our puppies are well socialised and leave our home full of confidence.

My passion for cavaliers started in my childhood, I grew up in the country and enjoyed the fun of owning a rescue Cavalier called Clarabell from there I fell into this beautiful breed, in my adulthood is where I purchased my first show dog and from there it all started.

I've developed a deep appreciation for the dedication and hard work required to succeed in the competitive world of dog shows.

But above all, I'm enjoying every moment of my journey. I cherish the bond I have developed with my dogs and the friendships I have made with other exhibitors. I'm proud to be a part of this vibrant community of dog lovers who share their passion and commitment to excellence.

We’re thrilled to announce we have a confirmed litter whelped on the 8th of October. This will be our last litter until at least 2026. At Whimsily, our aims are to breed for health, temperament and to preserve the beautiful English Setter breed. Our dogs are thoroughly health tested, including hip scores, DNA testing and BAER testing. Our puppies are raised with Puppy Culture to help them reach their full potential as balanced, resilient future dogs. They’ve been exposed to baths, blow drying, clippers and regular nail trims to set them up for grooming in the future. Whimsily puppies come home with: - Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC) Pedigree - Microchipped - Wormed - Their first two vaccinations - BAER (hearing) tested - Lifetime support from us! - A puppy pack with food, grooming tools and an information booklet. Puppies come registered with Dogs Victoria on the limited registry, which means they cannot be bred from or shown. Owners are required to sign a contract that any puppy on the limited registry will not be bred from. We have a litter that was born in October from our gorgeous Sarah Jayne (Australian Champion Orwin Sarah Jayne) All our babies are raised in our lounge amongst all the normal household noises and activity. All our dogs are part of our family and are not kept in kennels.
