As I begin my journey as a Miniature Dachshund breeder it is with excitement and happiness as I feel I have given this decision great thought and consideration. I am absolutely in love with this delightful, loving, loyal breed. I run a small home based kennel and my dogs are very much a part of our family life. I aim to breed beautiful dogs of good temperament, true to the standard. I have owned Dachshunds for almost 6yrs. I have 4 female Dachshunds a Chocolate Dapple (Macie) Chocolate and Tan (Scarlett), Black and Tan (Pebbles) and the newest addition Chocolate and Tan (Stinky Slinky) and I have 2 boys a Black & Tan (Scooby), and a puppy boy called BamBam who is Chocolate and Tan. Scooby has been backscored with a great outcome. All my dogs that are at breeding age have had a full DNA profile completed before any breeding is carried out.

I enjoy showing them and Macie is a major show off in the ring which I love. Pebbles is not a fan of the ring so she doesn’t come, Scarlett like her mother loves to show off and stinky is yet to be shown. Scooby on the other hand would prefer to roll over then run on a lead. BamBam is yet to be shown.

I breed for both quality and colour. I am partial to the chocolate and tan & the chocolate dapple. I wanted for a long time to get a chocolate dapple bitch as I was wanting one with correct markings as well as confirmation. I was lucky enough to purchase Macie off Mel from Melton Acres in Qld.

Our genetic testing assures you of a healthy puppy. All puppys come with a genetic health guarantee.

All our pups come with a written health check from our vet and our pups are well on their way to being house trained.

All pups come vaccinated, microchipped, regularly wormed and flea controlled, we provide a puppy pack when you collect your pup which consists of food our puppies are currently eating, Bedding and information on raising your pup as well as back up support by email or we are only a phone call away.

Set in the beautiful Southern Highlands, Embellish Dachshunds are a small kennel focusing on type and temperament.
We have bred our first dachshund litters in 2024, after nearly 20 years of successfully exhibiting and breeding Labrador Retrievers. Dachshunds have been in our family as companions for a few generations, with my grandparents owning standard and mini smooths, then my parents with standard smooths.
