Lively small hound. A fairly short wiry coat. The ears are long and covered in finer hair. His colour is fawn wheaten to a deep red wheaten.
An active and lively rough-coated hound from the Brittany region of France. With a keen sense of smell. He was developed in response to the need for a short-legged hunting dog that man could follow on foot.
Friendly and personality packed. He makes an excellent companion and will get along well with most other animals. Particularly if introduced at a young age.
A weekly brush and comb will keep him looking good. Exercise needs are moderate although he will keep going for as long as you want to. Take care when near roads as if he picks up an interesting smell he is likely to dash off to find its source.
No known hereditary defects and usually enjoys a long and healthy life.
